A few shots from my band's show last night - I'm the frontman:

We've got a huge gig tonight, too...20 song set. Hopefully will have more pics + some video, should be a badass show.

Looking cool. (obviously foot-tapping according to the beats in the first one)

What song were you singing when these were taken?

The_Return 05-17-2009 07:02 AM

Thanks :)

I'm honestly not sure when the first or last shots were taken...if I had to guess the first one would probably be either one of our originals ("37 Pieces") or our cover of "Jenny Don't Be Hasty" by Paulo Nutini, and the 3rd one could have been anytime, really.

The middle pic is Nirvana's "About a Girl"...our drummer and guitarist switched up for that one. First time either of them had played the other's instrument in a show, and it turned out pretty good.

Oh yes I noticed the swap just now, after you mentioned it. Pretty talented guys.

If you happen to shoot a video of your performance, upload it to youtube or something. I d love to see you guys perform.

Check out the "Show Your Stuff" thread down in the music forum...I posted a video awhile back of us covering "Sleep Now in the Fire". It was one of our first shows and I look like a fool, but it still sounded pretty decent. Our usual drummer couldn't make it to that show, but we recruited another one of our friends to fill in at the time.

Here's the link:

The video isn't the greatest quality, but it's a start. And it was back when I still had the beard, haha.

We're hoping to get most of tonight's show on film, so I'll have more to post in a few days. We're doing this song again, and it's sounding 100% better these days.

Six Speed Coffin...I love the name. Very Django/Tarantino-ish.

Pretty decent effort. Gotta say you look MUCH better without the beard, bud.

And yeah, you seriously need a better cameraman. The one who shot that vid had some serious shakes right off the bat.

Glad you like the name...first positive feedback we've got on it, haha. We've actually been trying to come up with a new one, but haven't had much luck.

As for the video...we weren't even aware it was being shot. It was for a school assembly, and some random student just decided to film it. She sent to it our guitarist so we figured we might as well upload it.

The guy we've got for tonight actually knows his way around a camera, so it should be a little better.
