Started working my way through Avant Garde: Experimental Cinema of the 20's and 30's...

Over my head, I guess. It's a collection of short, experimental films...I watched 3 or 4, all Im getting out of them is a bunch of random images and classical music. Weird is good, but weird for weirds sake...eh, not so much.

I doubt I'll watch much more of this collection...glad I only rented it...

Just watched The Life and Death of 9413, a Hollywood Extra from this set, and thought it was very cool. I guess I'll check out a few more...

Employee of the Month
A waste of two (normally) very good comedians.

i recomend it.....even if just for dustin hoffman and alan rickman alone.....weird ass film and very real at times but then really surreal.

I want to see this so badly. I plan on doing so this weekend.

Went I went to see Dustin Hoffman get his Lifetime Achievement Award, he made an excellent speech about the forthcoming of great talent into the industry, and said he was going to take part in it as much as possible. This is his second in a long line of not-so-mainstream movies with not-so-large parts. Whadda' guy! Can't wait to see this!

Crank;
enjoyable.

I loved Crank...not so much the plotline, but just how 100mph it was from the get go...it was all kindsa frantic like crazy, some great stuntwork, interesting visuals, and a kickass thumpworthy soundtrack. Good stuff...means it'll be out on dvd here soon, definately be grabbing this one myself.

Watched "Clerks 2" for the first time.
Very unlike the first, but enjoyable all the same.

Children of the Night

I watched this with no expectations at all. It started out rather illogically with 2 girls going for a recreational swim in a flooded crypt (Wtf?). Well, they end up waking a vampire while they are in there and pretty run of the mill vampiric carnage ensues. The ending offers us some pretty low quality CGI. Average acting, average gore, stupid storyline. It was tolerable, but certainly not one I'd recommend.

Left Behind

My wife reads the books but I never have and now I know why. This movie was WAAAAY too preachy. The plot was interesting enough, but the film ended just as things were starting to get interesting. The acting was alright, the story was intriguing, but the execution was terrible. If there is a sequel to this though, I'd be interested in seeing it.

Over the Hedge

This was a little preachy, but overall fun and light-hearted. It's no Madagascar (My favorite animated family flick in recent years) but it's still a pretty entertaining little film.
