Yeah, I've been keeping up with it too. It has been getting kind of shitty reviews, but I enjoy it. It definitely seems to tack on the celebrity guest stars, but those scenes are usually funny enough that it doesn't bother me. The bit with Liam Neeson was hilarious.

Fearonsarms 03-14-2012 06:49 AM

I'm watching some of the old Doctor Who series' starting with William Hartnoll first series (1963) which I have never seen before but has recently been remastered and restored since the bbc "lost" the original prints. Really enjoying it so far. William Hartnoll is a lot harsher than some of the camper later doctors.

Grimm.

Danielle Panabaker has a cameo in the most recent episode. She was the best character in the Friday the 13th remake/reboot or whatever they want to call it.

I watched an episode of "Once Upon a Time" last night.
Every time I start to watch this show and it switches from our reality to the "Fairy Tale" reality, I always think it's kind've schmucky...thoug usually within 5 minutes I'm stuck right into it. I just like the way it's written, put together quite well. I don't really see it lasting beyond a season or two, but it's still an enjoyable watch that I hope we see an adequate conclusion.

What else...saw the final few episodes of "Chuck".
Bit disappointing and sad in one way, though hopeful in others.
I'd say it was actually a pretty good finale though...a couple of really great episodes towards the end made up for a lackluster season.
Even though I feel the show lost a bit of steam after season 3, I still enjoyed it, and will miss seeing the characters.
I might even grab the box set of this one eventually, it's a good, family friendly and fun show.

Just wondering (Sorry if I've missed the posts)
Has anyone here watched Alcatraz?
It looks good and while I'm usually a fan of JJA projects (well, until he abandons them that is) for some reason I'm a little apprehensive about watching this one.
Is it any good?

I absolutely LOVE this show! It's the only show that I will schedule my social life around. And I love Robert Carlyle's characters - both of them!

Watched "Chopped" on Food Network last night.

I watch it. I don't mention it here because it's not horror. The show is short and about to go off next week. If the reveal of what is going on is good, then I'll recommend it.

I think, YOU should review it.

Last watched the third episode of "Awake".
I've liked it from the start, but I think this episode was the first one to properly utilise the parallel realities bleeding into eachother in a more creative way.
I'm really enjoying it and strongly advise anyone that can, to take a look.

Yeah, I've been pretty keen to check this show out. I heard the pilot was really strong.

hammerfan 03-27-2012 05:04 PM

Just watched NCIS, now watching NCIS Los Angeles.

Elvis_Christ 03-27-2012 06:56 PM

Awake is great I thought the second episode was a bit flat but the third was killer.

Good show that, eh?
I'd never even heard of it before, but then I picked up a boxset of season 1 in a store (Borders) that was sadly closing down.
I think I got it for $5.
Waited about 4 months before I ever bothered with it, and when I did I was like "Season 2 please".

All the Borders stores in the U.S. closed, too.

LOVE this show - The Premier was fantastic. My only "issue" is that 1 hour is waaaaaay too short - I can't wait for next week. ;)

Also, I'm an idiot when it comes to names; I always forget names, which is HUGELY important in the show, so when they introduced Stannis Baratheon and Melisandre, I had to pause the show and ask the boyfriend a million questions:

"Who's that? Who's he talking about? Who's she? What is she doing? WHAT'S GOING ON?!"

LOL - Yep, I'm THAT person. (though to my credit, the cut to the Melisandre scene was a little random)

Great show, though - Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister is so chilling and brilliant - She had some fantastic scenes.

Looking forward to the new season!

Haha, no it's definitely tough keeping all those names straight, especially if you haven't seen the show since the last season finale. Yeah, Stannis and Melisandre (she's craaaazy! That scene where the poor maester dies trying to kill her was great.)
And yeah, the cast is just so wonderful on this show.
Definitely a lot of prep-work and introductions in this episode; it's going to be nuts.
Oh man, and the climax of the episode where the guard was
killing all of Robert's illegitimate children
was brutal.

Had a "Storage Wars" marathon today. Terrefic entertainment.

Watched most of season 1 & 2. Then i got out of bed.

Elvis_Christ 04-03-2012 10:13 PM

Most of the way thru Justified season 2. Enjoying this one even more than the first my favourite show atm.

Caught the new Game Of Thrones episode. Pretty good but it looks like it'll take a couple of episodes to suck me into it again. I hope that little Joffery prick gets his head split sometime soon :D

newb 04-04-2012 08:29 AM

Justified's great

watched the season finale of Shameless.....good show. Louise Fletcher should get an Emmy for this one.

Haven't watched the new Games of Thrones yet. I want to watch the last 2 from last year first.....just to jog my memory.
