Funny story I read in a Dick Miller interview:

Roger Corman offered him the lead in Little Shoppe of Horrors, but he had just finished playing the lead in A Bucket of Blood, and he felt the roles were too similar, so he told Corman to "let Jon do it." Corman never offered him a lead role again, and indeed, he never played anything but supporting roles after that.

Well, I guess it's not that funny, for Miller...

How could you turn down a role in a Corman movie?

neverending 06-09-2011 10:00 PM

In 1960 Corman wasn't the legend he is today.

5-2-2, Dick Miller cruises to the win in the end.

Good Point.

I had no idea he had been convicted of being a disgusting little paedo. I wonder if those inclinations were the driving force behind his fantastic performance as Ed Rooney (in retrospect, he did seem a little too keen to get his hands on the boyishly good looking Broderick:eek:). I don't think I'll be able to watch Ferris Bueller... again.:(

ChronoGrl 06-13-2011 06:20 AM

Jeffrey Jones

Wow I don't remember hearing Jeffrey Jones and his 14 y.o boy nude photography. Gross.

I vote Carl Muthafucking Weathers
