I've actually like this. Did not expect much, but the atmosphere felt really similar to the trilogy. I think Wes would have been proud.
The only bad part for me is that they announced another one.

Pointless.
Except a few slashes, might be the worst from the saga. Did not bring anything new to the table, no even an Idea of a conclusion.

with amazing photography. Even if a somewhat GORGO-ish lift happens towards the end. ***

CREATURE FEATURE: 60 YEARS OF THE GILLMAN (2015). Decent doc of THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON and its two sequels. Although there isn't a lot more info to be gleaned-if You've watched the Special Features on the DVD, You gotten the history behind them all- , the "Fan-ness" of this makes it worth Your time. Some truly obsessive fans out there with neat collections and even a convention in Florida where the underwater scenes were filmed. Liked how Millicent Patrick, the Disney animator and primary sketch artist for the Creature's "look", is given more appreciation here; it's rotten how a jealous Bud Westmore took all the credit.
Interviews with Ricou Browning (the Creature underwater), the late Julie Adams (Kay) and the late Ben Chapman (Creature on land) are also fun. The latter two come off as very nice and in my experience with them, I can concur. Julie's website was one of the very first I ordered merchandise from; misunderstood the P/H rates and sent more. She mailed Me my picture along with my change, which she didn't have to do. As for Ben , I ordered twice for his site; quick delivery and little extras thrown in. At my first MONSTER BASH (6/2007), was planning to meet him after Elvira (third in line);sadly, She took her sweet time getting on the "Gear" and getting out there. Ben had taken sick in the meantime, going back to his room to rest and sadly passed away a few months later::sad::. ***
