In the Mouth of Madness

Watched a couple "Fr-" films tonight:


- Friday the 13th, Part II : Watched this a year or so ago and really didnt like it, but found myself enjoying it quite a bit this time around. Pretty cool slasher fare, really original ideas in a few places.

- Frantic : I loved this movie! Fantastic plot, wonderfully acted, great score, directing...humor, suspence, action...Entertaining and intriguing, this is damn near a perfect movie. The fact that I only paid $2.50 for the DVD just makes it that much sweeter.

Probably the best of the series. Have you seen Mario Bava's Bay Of Blood (Twitch of the Death Nerve)?

Badly want to, but no.

Was thinking of getting it off Ebay, but couldnt find anything reasonable.

As for Part II being the best of the series...well, so far I'd have to agree...but Ive still only seen this and the original:o. Have the boxset though, planning to work my way through.

Part 3's the best. Followed by part 6.



Tonight I watched a couple favorites of mine:

Rosemary's Baby (1968) and The Thing (1982).

What is rosemary's baby about?

Zoolander.

Mee Shee the water giant - a couple of thing saved this from being a turd kids movie but it had great creature effects and at least a couple of decent performances.

lucky number slevin - entertaining - definately some great performances - ben kingsley and lucy liu in particular. (morgan freeman pretty much mails these things in)

this is another movie that had an asian feel to it ...

The Departedd

Scorsese's best. Nicholson was beyond perfect. I expected much less from Dicaprio, but he was damn good. I also see a good future for Mark Wahlberg.

perfrect plot, great violence and scorsese style dark comedy.

Rosemary's Baby is a very atmospheric and chilling little horror story about a couple who move to New York with intentions of living a happy life...with a child. So they start trying to make one. Well, through some complications (I won't spoil anything for you), Rosemary starts believeing that the baby inside her is in grave danger. Conspiracies fly all over the place, accusations are thrown, and everything goes to Hell from there.

You must see this. It is a classic.
