I'm getting pissed off with my ps2... I find that I'm not liking games with passive/manual cameras that aren't controlled via the shoulder buttons...I just HATE using the analogue stick on the right to turn my character around while using the one on the left to move it...it FUCKS combat.
Just tried "The Suffering", which I think would have been great if not for these issues...I dunno, maybe I just don't like console controls anymore...Dreamcast never gave me this bullshit.

If you can turn the analog stick off.:)

i can only play it for a few minutes before i get tired of it - but it is a blast swinging around the city.

i also had a look at half-life 2 ... kept getting beaten to death by the cops trying to escape from the apartment onto the roof.

I'm switching back and forth between Guild Wars and a free download MMORPG called "Monster & Me".

Xbox huh? So pc really is the only format for the fps to have near-precise controls. It's funny, dreamcast had an excellent layout for the fps games (kiss psycho circus, unreal tournament, soldier of fortune, to name a few) it had, and it was customisable beyond just changing around a few buttons. Even playstation 1 was good for quake 2, with both systems, I could control with pc-like proficiency, in fact I think the dreamcast I could control even better...but yeah, seems like xbox and ps2 controls either work for some people, or they don't.

I'm playing "prince of persia - sands of time", which admittedly is better on console in terms of controls, but I'm having no big problems...I like this one, and if you look at it one way, it
s almost a remake of the original, I mean...I can't remember the original having a storyline, but it seemed like you were in a fucked up castle, and you fought what LOOKED like guards, so it seems fair to assume you were part of an attacking party, I dunno...anyways, it's a cool game...

Also - Warcraft 2 + Expansion.
You can pick up a new copy of this for about $10 now.
I still greatly enjoy playing this game, spal and me are taking turns on it...solid.

I'd played most of it prior to it freezing up repeatedly,so I gave it another go round with a new copy and it worked out.It's an entertaining game with a nice physics system to it.


And yes the anal probe still ranks top IMO as the best hand held weapon.:D

I agree 400%. I can't stand that shit. There should be an option on every game whether or not you want to use that. There's too many games I've passed up or never finished due to that bullshit.

It's been way too long since last time I played, I cant remember who I liked it use...I'll have to rent it again.

For a game I paid about 8$ for it's not bad(it's not great either) I can see why it never really went any where.

Dungeon Siege 1 - Legends of Aranna (expansion).
It's ok...just more of the same really...I feel the original single-player mission was better though...

It features a two player co-op mode which is nice,but other than that it's nothing you hav'nt seen before.Your standard creatures of various sizes,boring puzzles that require little to no thought and an extremely over used storyline.I put it right up there with Cold Fear.

It's a good game....REALLY repetitive once you've played a few levels, but I enjoyed it. A little to short if anything.

i'll have to give it a go again...



my kid has been playing the PC version of the incredibles.
on Sunday he got past a part where i was stuck at for 30 minutes..
