as a brain-off, horror movie is very enjoyable with comic relief by john goodman. the fact that it's about killer animals just adds to the fun

That's what it is, a bunch of goofy/stupid stuff. Ordinary story, decent acting(for a comedy of this sort anyway), there's a good number of laughs and a couple really funny parts. If you like goofy/stupid stuff comedy then you should enjoy it.

Well making me laugh isn't exactly the hardest thing in the world to do. But for someone more critical of comedies I'd say it's hit or miss. I think it's a perfect trailor in the sense that it pretty much shows you how the whole movie's gonna be.
