great DVD

they play maybe 3 new ones but they sound right at home with the older stuff

I quite liked the last record. Best stuff since Dehumanizer. Will have to watch that one sometime soon.

Disintegration is my fave album and I definitely prefer their early stuff to their 90s stuff but I do have a huge soft spot for Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me-they did an awesome version of The Kiss at the end of the concert dvd.

That's such a great guitar solo on The Kiss. Robert Smith is pretty underrated as a guitarist. Seen em live many times, and yeah Trilogy is a nice concept.

On a pretty unrelated note, I've been listening to a lot of Carcass lately, gearing up to see them in a couple months. The last show I saw was High on Fire / Kvelertak. I know, not so much related to DVDs, but I don't buy many concert DVDs.

The new Carcass record was really good. Saw High On Fire with the Melvins in 2011. Definitely one of the best live bands you could go and see. Matt Pike tears it up.

Van Halen - Burnin' In Buenos Aires, 1983
Thin Lizzy - Live In Concert 1983

Also been watching a new BBC documentary
Born To Be Wild: The Golden Age Of American Rock
Not that much new info or material but still a good watch.

Kiss - In Concert
Bought this one today for 3 euros.
Contains live songs from over the years. Overal not bad.

Sex Pistols - Live at Budokan 1996
Also 3 euros.
Great sound, good performance, lame audience.

Jonsi Go Live dvd came with a cd as well. His live version of "Grow Till Tall" is epic! Plus the version of "Around Us" is wonderfully trippy at the end.

THE WHO;LIVE IN TEXAS-Pretty good concert from them on THE WHO BY NUMBERS tour with a lot of TOMMY selections as the film had come out that year. Also got in METAL: A HEADBANGERS JOURNEY by Sam Dunn, a really good doc with loads of bands interviewed. Recommended!

This show was pretty killer. I had no idea Repulsion was opening for them. That was almost better than seeing Carcass. Both bands sorta had Old Guy syndrome, but still know how to grind it out.

Also saw Failure a month or so ago. Great show. No opening band, just two long sets of grungy space rock.

Got the deluxe version of SUPER DUPER ALICE COOPER in the mail yesterday and plan to watch it tomorrow. Some 1972 footage that I'm truly psyched about seeing...my all time favorite band performing KILLER, my all time favorite album.::love::::love::
